Enjoyed the opportunity to teach advanced regional anesthesia procedures to anesthesiologists in the Bay Area.

Regional anesthesia is the practice of using local anesthetic (numbing medicine) to areas/nerves to block the pain for after surgery. I typically place a small catheter to allow the numbing medicine to drip for days after surgery. This significantly reduces the amount of pain medicine needed by patients. Sometime eliminating this all together!
